The value of silence and isolation in personal and artistic growth

There are moments when we feel the need to pause, to distance ourselves from the daily hustle and bustle, the fast pace, the incessantly ringing notifications. Moments when it becomes necessary to choose silence, isolation, slow time.
I recently spent three days in a hermitage, participating in a retreat that included a conference dedicated to the theme of "will" and "being." It wasn't just about listening, but about fully experiencing something: I chose to stay away from the internet, my phone, social media, even unnecessary words. I embraced silence, letting myself be guided by deep listening and inner concentration.
This break taught me that reading, exploring, and even staying "out of the world" for a while doesn't mean escaping, but creating the space necessary to grow. It's a leap: a transition that opens up a new vision, an awareness that is inevitably reflected in my artistic research.
I carry with me the certainty that this suspended time, filled with silence and interiority, will be fertile. It is a seed that will bear fruit, not only in my outlook, but also in my creative process.
