The value of change

I often cling to one way of doing things, seeing things, or painting, as if it were the only possible one. I convince myself that what I know is necessarily the best path for me, simply because it's the one I've always followed.
But change reminds me that nothing is static, that life is movement, and that even art breathes when I allow it to transform.
Changing the way you paint means changing your perspective: a new gesture, a new color, a new point of view can open up unexpected horizons.
It's not easy: it takes courage to let go of your certainties, your habits, and even the security that sometimes holds me back. Yet, it's precisely when I allow myself to change that I discover possibilities I never would have imagined.
Ultimately, change is not a loss. It is an opening. It is an invitation to explore what we do not yet know, within ourselves and without.
And perhaps this is where the real surprise of art, and of life, comes from.
