The starting point of my research

Today I feel the importance of returning to what is essential: the basics.
Every artistic journey, every personal exploration, every experimentation that allows me to create freely today, stems from there. Without that foundation, nothing I do now would be possible.
For me, the foundations of drawing have been and continue to be:
• The proportion , because it is the breath of the image, its internal balance.
• The contrasts , which give voice to the tension between full and empty spaces, between lines and surfaces.
• Light and shadow , which shape reality and allow us to enter into depth.
• The theory of color , which is not only technique but also emotion, a universal and personal language at the same time.
These elements, studied, observed, and internalized, are not cold rules for me: they are living tools that allow me to express what I carry within. Every painting, every drawing that emerges from my hands is rooted in these foundations.
This is why I don't consider them a bygone era, but a constant presence, accompanying every creative gesture. My painting today, my research, and my freedom of expression are made possible precisely by that discipline and that initial dialogue with the foundations of art.
