My palette, my research

My painting is born from a radical choice: the palette is always the same, essential and faithful.
I don't mix, I don't use natural shades or muted tones. My colors are pure, taken directly from the tube : three blues (ultramarine, cobalt, turquoise, sometimes a very pale blue), two greens (an emerald and a light/bright one), two reds (a magenta and a fiery red), and a lemon yellow. Sometimes a purple.
Nothing else. No white, no black, no earth, no ochre.
Nothing is mixed on the palette: the colors meet only on the canvas. Sometimes they blend, creating unexpected nuances, sometimes they remain separate, sharp, vibrant. The result is always bright, strong, and contrasting.
This choice leads me to work on light and clarity . There are no blurs, no "dirty" tones. Each color retains its identity and, together with the others, creates a balance of contrasts and vibrations.
It's like overcoming a barrier: letting the color remain itself, clear, and at the same time opening up to the space of the canvas, creating effects that surprise even me.
My palette is a choice of fidelity.
So I paint with light, without compromise, seeking the luminosity and strength that arise from the color itself.
